Safeguarding

We have a responsibility and an accountability to ensure the safety of all of our children.

'Every child should be safe...some children are at risk of harm from the very people they should be able to rely on for love and care. We all have a responsibility to do everything possible to protect those vulnerable children.’

Oakwood Infant & Nursery School takes seriously its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in its care. We establish and maintain an environment where pupils feel safe and secure and are encouraged to talk, and are listened to. At Oakwood we ensure that pupils know that there are adults within the school who they can approach if they are worried or are in difficulty.

Domestic Abuse and Children
